We, the undersigned members of the community, are calling on the leadership of Planned Parenthood California Central Coast (PPCCC) to do what is right for its workers, for its patients, and for our shared future.
Planned Parenthood plays a vital role in providing reproductive and gender-affirming care across our region. We support this mission wholeheartedly and want to see it thrive. But right now, that mission is at risk - not because of the workers, but because of the choices being made by the organization’s leadership.
The frontline healthcare workers at PPCCC are being pushed to the brink. Chronic understaffing, low wages, and unsafe workloads are creating a crisis. Patients are waiting weeks for appointments. Experienced staff are leaving. Communities are suffering. These conditions are not just unsustainable, they are unacceptable.
We believe in Planned Parenthood’s purpose, but we cannot ignore the reality: when leadership will not bargain in good faith, it puts our communities in danger. This isn’t just about contracts, it’s about values. It’s about equity, dignity, and respect for those who deliver life-saving care every single day.
We demand that PPCCC:
- Bargain in good faith with its workers
- Address the staffing crisis with urgency
- Provide fair wages and safe working conditions
Healthcare workers are the backbone of Planned Parenthood. If they are not supported, the mission cannot succeed.
We stand with the workers—because we stand with our communities.
